ree

On December 15, Cabezahueca Producciones, the Honduran branch of the U.S.-based Cabezahueca Films, was awarded a grant by the Honduran Institute of Cinematography (IHCINE) to support the development of the feature film Concepción, planned for production in 2026. Written by Spanish screenwriters Josep Santarén and Eloi Tomàs, the film will be produced by Cabezahueca and directed by Mario Ramos.

Concepción was selected through the 2nd “Sami Kafati” Call for Proposals, honoring the pioneering legacy of Honduran filmmaker Sami Kafati. Further enhancing its recognition, the project was also selected in 2024 by Ibermedia, validating its artistic vision and opening doors for international collaboration.

This milestone highlights Cabezahueca’s commitment to creating meaningful, author-driven films that combine social relevance with a strong cultural perspective.
